I’m not going to lie. I am not a fan of snacking on Peeps! The sweetness is too much for even my Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donut loving self. I always give some serious side eye to my friends as they pop Peep after Peep into their mouths each spring.
Even my kids agree with me. We all used to “hard pass” on the store shelves stocked with this quintessential Easter treat. The pastel colors and cute chicks and bunnies are so adorable that I really want to like them. I just can’t stomach having all that sugary marshmallow in my mouth.
That is until I discovered the joy of baking and cooking with these things!
They might not be for us straight out of the package but when mixed with some butter and some cereal, the yum factor shoots through the roof!
