Materials

  • [eafl id=”14226″ name=”Dollar Tree” text=”Glitter pine cones”] (Sold for $1 a bag at your local Dollar Tree)
  • [eafl id=”14225″ name=”Create For Less” text=”Hot glue, glue gun”]
  • [eafl id=”14224″ name=”Floral cone” text=”Ribbon of choice”]
  • [eafl id=”14226″ name=”Dollar Tree” text=”Scissors”]

Directions

1. These pinecones are easy to craft with. You will see how easily they interlock together. Start by arranging them into a circle to see how big you want the ornament to be.
2. Apply glue to the ends of one side of the pinecone. Press another pinecone to the glue and hold until secure.

3. Repeat, adding an additional pinecone. Continue until your circle is complete.
4. Cut a length of ribbon and run it through the circle. Tie into a bow at the top for hanging.

  1. Thanks for these craft ideas for kids. I have a two and a half year old great grand daughter who loves to “hep” every chance she gets. The pine cone wreath would be great for her to help with. We already have glitter in different colors we used to decorate stockings with. This would be so much fun for her and to feel like she contributed.
