Where do you fall on the fitness scale? You are probably always on the go. I bet you can carry babies and all.the.things at the same time. That takes stamina and strength, right?

Me? I am fit-ish. I sport a “dun lapped” along with my muscles — my belly done lapped over my jeans. Do you know how frustrating it is to know that you can lift more weight that some of the dads you know but can’t seem to get rid of the “baby fat?”

I know my diet is the reason I can’t get rid of the muffin top.  That’s why I’m attempting to incorporate more easy Paleo recipes into my meal plans.

So I turned to a friend.

Sarah, from Thank You Honey, has given me so many of her paleo tips and tricks that I invited her to share her favorite paleo recipes with you guys too.

Meet Sarah Honey

Sarah shared with me her reason for making such a drastic lifestyle choice with her family’s diet.

In February 2013, shocking statistics were released by the CDC. My husband and I were horrified when we read them. Obesity was at an all-time high in the US! Type 2 Diabetes was also at a record high. Children were being estimated to live less time than their parents. Children were served “fast food” and chocolate milk as school lunch.
Type 2 Diabetes and High Cholesterol was being diagnosed in children. It was after we heard those results that hubs and I decided we never wanted that for our child. We were both very active and were healthy, and we were determined to pass that on to our son. I wanted to teach our son how to make healthy choices when we weren’t there to make them for him.
We modeled healthy eating and exercising. Eating the way they did in the olden days! Eating fresh, local, seasonal, organic fruits and vegetables. Wild caught fish, free-range, grass fed beef & pork; avoiding processed foods and carbs. It’s also called Paleo. It’s not a diet but a lifestyle.
