This sweet sweet age

April 17, 2014 by Herchel Scruggs 9 Comments

I recently bought an annual pass to our local zoo.  It has a carousel, three playgrounds, and a splash park.  The annual pass was a no-brainer.  The entire year for a little over double the cost for my family to go one day.  It paid itself off in two weeks.  We went four times. It was during that first trip this spring that I looked around and realized it.  I am almost … [Read more...]

3 tips to be more productive when Mom is stressed out!

However, I have some interview tips for the SAHM going back to work. For most of the past ten years, I was a front line manager for an entry level call center department. I interviewed … [Read more...]

My dirty little daycare secret

February 4, 2014 by Herchel Scruggs 29 Comments

Both my kids are still registered in daycare.  Yes, even though I am staying home with them now I can always bring them in for a daily rate.   It's call "drop in" status and hangs there like a trapeze net to catch me if I fall.  Not that I think I will fall or anything... Of course I could always drop them off at one of my "non-working" cousins' homes.  But for not working … [Read more...]
