You don’t have to spend a fortune to have pretty things in your home! I know many moms that love making things with their kids but don’t display them because they don’t look “perfect.”
That is why I am sharing these decoupage ideas. Decoupage crafts don’t have to be done perfectly to come out amazingly.
With pretty paper, glue, and your imagination, the possibilities are endless when it comes to fun decoupage projects. Hopefully, these decoupage ideas will help you incorporate this thrifty and fun craft into your decor.
“Decoupage” is a fancy word for paper glued on stuff. Modge Podge is my glue of choice and easy to find.
I started my love for decoupage as a child. I used to make decoupage bowls for potpourri to give as gifts. I’ve moved on from making bowls to making luminaries, pencil cups, and Christmas ornaments. I see items at the thrift store that may not be outwardly cute as is but looks spectacular with a bit of glue and paper.
The collage look of a decoupaged project is perfect for crafts that kids can help make but don’t look too “kid made.”
It’s a versatile and easy craft that works great for upcycling and home decorating.
