Want to see how I made this burlap wall art?

Things have been very busy and exciting around here.  My youngest is graduating from VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) and will be joining her brother in Elementary School next year.  We’ve had the kindergarten graduation program already and have VPK graduation is next week.  Is it just me or are the last weeks of school a continuous party?

I’ve been asked to bring a bag of sand to school for a beach party next week!  SAND.

I kind of can’t wait.  I will get to spend the day with my son pretending we are at the beach.  Nevermind that we live in Florida and can drive thirty minutes to a real beach (with water) to cool off in when we start to sizzle but can’t while we are sweating in the courtyard of the school.

The other exciting things going on don’t have anything to do with the kids or the end of the school year.  They have to do with me.

I was asked to do a school photo shoot for class pictures for my daughter’s school.  It was my first photography job! The editing took a bit more work than I thought it would.  Photographing a group of kids is not quite as fun or easy as shooting a single child.

I also joined my friend, Karen, over at The Missing Niche today.  I posted a tutorial on how to make this cute little piece of burlap painted artwork.

I duplicated a fancy burlap canvas wall art piece in five minutes.  If you want to see how I did it, you’ll have to visit The Missing Niche, here, to check out the tutorial.

I hope you are enjoying the end of the school year and/or the beginning of summer vacation!
