I originally published this article last year after receiving a box of the products to try. Not going to lie, I came back to my old post to see if the coupon link was updated so I could buy more. And the link does. Yay! I’m buying the dishwashing liquid and disposal cleaner. It’s a new year and a new spring cleaning must commence.
I am not going to lie. I am no clean freak! I’m a clutter dropping tornado and my daughter is my mini. Not because I really wanted to clean but because LemiShine’s the products are non-toxic and safe for kids.
I don’t make all the mess myself so why should I clean it all myself? Granted, I’ve done more spring cleaning this year than ever before. My bathroom was given an epic scrub down.
Our garage went from a junk-filled scary place to an awesome gym, complete with squat racks and bumper plates! But as always there are still so many places left to go, including the often overlooked areas in the kitchen. It’s a wreck!
The four most overlooked areas in the kitchen when it comes to spring cleaning
1. Garbage disposal
2. Above the refrigerator and the window sills
It also works wonders on windows and window sills.
3. The dishwasher
4. Everything from the floor to a foot high!
What are the top ten places people forget to spring clean?
Ceiling Fans and Light Fixtures
Dust builds up on blades and bulbs, and when fans spin, they spread it around the room.
Baseboards and Trim
These collect dust and grime over time, especially in corners and high-traffic areas.
Behind and Under Appliances
Food particles, dust, and grease accumulate behind your fridge, stove, and washer/dryer.
Air Vents and Filters
Dirty air vents and HVAC filters can reduce air quality and increase energy bills.
Window Tracks and Sills
These get filled with dirt, dead bugs, and mold, especially after winter.
Mattresses
People wash bedding but often forget to vacuum or deodorize the mattress itself.
Cabinet Tops and Inside Drawers
Grease and dust settle on upper cabinet surfaces, and crumbs gather inside drawers.
Behind the Toilet
Hard to reach and easy to ignore, but one of the grimiest spots if left uncleaned.
Remote Controls, Switches, and Door Handles
High-touch items that harbor bacteria and often don’t get wiped down regularly.
Reusable Bags and Cleaning Tools
These carry bacteria and grime and rarely get washed or sanitized themselves.
