We finally started some Halloween decorating! It’s a feeble attempt but a start.  Our next door neighbor added to their outdoor decorations this year.  They have a GIANT spider on their roof.  That spider inspired our lazy but quick decorations.  A spider didn’t just pop up on a random roof. It had to come from somewhere and left a creepy trail as it passed by our home.

It didn’t take long for the kids to get tired of making the spider web look “just right.”  Our decorating was cut short by their customary after school hunger.

My favorite grocery store, Publix, has Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on sale and you can get this coupon for $1.00 with the purchase of two cans of crescent rolls online! This is an excellent time to stock up on crescent rolls. There are so many holiday snacks and desserts made with them. Or…if you have a kid like mine, you can make her crescent rolls and still have a can left for your recipe ideas.

We made these quick and easy snacks.

Mummy Halloweenies

Easy Peasy Mummy Dogs

Ingredients

  •  1 can of Pillsbury original crescent rolls
  • 4 hotdogs
  • 8 capers
  • a little bit of ketchup

Easy Mummy Dogs

Directions

Cut the crescent roll dough into strips. (You can roll it flat first but that dimishes from the “quick and easy” and I’m all about the quick and easy.)

Dry your hotdogs with a paper towel.

Wrap them in the strips of dough leaving space at the top for the eyes.

Hotdog Mummies

Bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet for approximately 10 minutes.

Remove from oven. I put two drops of ketchup topped with two capers as eyes for each hotdog mummy.

Easy Halloween Treats

And because you guys love giveaways and I love you, Publix and I are throwing in a $20 Paypal Cash Giveaway that is open worldwide. From today through 10/31 you can enter to win!
