We’ve made several trips to the library, played in the pool, and crafted up a storm.

Sweet Little Birdhouse–Decoupage Kids Crafts
- Small wooden bird house
- Acrylic Paint
- Scrap Fabric
- Mod Podge
- Fabric Glue or Glue Pens
- Paint Brush
- Foam Brush
- Scissors
Directions:
On a protected surface, paint your birdhouse as desired. My daughter wanted blue, so we went with Apple Barrel 21185 Parrot Blue Color. Let dry.
Cut your fabric into 1″ strips and then into various sized pieces, about 1″ or smaller.
Apply mod podge to your birdhouse with a foam brush and affix fabric. Cover fabric with mod podge once attached. Repeat, overlapping fabric until the entire birdhouse is covered.
To work around the circle opening, simply overlap the fabric onto the circle. And cut the fabric that overlaps the circle. Then fold it inward and affix with mod podge.
Cover painted surfaces with mod podge.
Let set to dry completely.
Add details using a colored glue pen or fabric paint. Let dry completely.
Display your child’s artwork with pride!

Perfect, simple craft for the kiddos. But actually, I’m wanting to try it myself. It’s the simple things, right? And kudos to you for your little ‘experiment’. All parents should be that aware and desire a bit more for their kids’ minds and creativity. Thanks so much for sharing!
