Summer Routines on Family Fun Friday

The complete change in routine is both the best and the worst thing about summer vacation.  For a mom that works at home, transitioning from a quiet house to one that is ringing with the laughter of children is daunting.  The change in routine can also affect children’s behavior!

This week I chose some helpful articles that can prepare moms for the schedule shifts brought one by the summer.

 

The Take Action WAHM has 5 Ways for Work at Home Moms to Kick Stress to the Curb.  This is something I definitely need to work on!

Mom’s Morning Coffee is starting a “routine challenge” over the summer to remove some of the stress from an over scheduled lifestyle. Read about it on Removed from Routine.

Sensory Mom’s Secrets has 6 Tips for Summer Break Survival and they are simple yet brilliant!

Have you sat down and thought about what kind of summer you want?  Calm, Healthy, and Sexy shares how to Have the Summer that You Really Want.

Now that both of my children can read, my plan is to spend a large part of the summer fostering they love of a good story.  This DIY reading nook looks perfect.

And once I have the reading space squared away, I am going to pull out this handy list of 15 Great books for Summer Vacation from Kids Are a Trip! 

School ends in a week for us.  I don’t have much scheduled besides our summer vacation.  I do plan to enjoy summer but I will also have work to do.  It’s going to be interesting!
