DIY Reindeer Burlap Canvas Wall Art

Make an easy homemade burlap canvas gift for your hostess.

DIY Holiday Themed Reindeer Burlap Wall Art

Run to the craft store and grab:

• [easyazon_link identifier=”B00N6VVISS” locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]reindeer stencil[/easyazon_link]
• [easyazon_link identifier=”B007PYMW82″ locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]foam stencil pouncer[/easyazon_link]
• bottle of acrylic[easyazon_link identifier=”B009SRKOZM” locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]red metallic craft paint[/easyazon_link].

If you are feeling frisky, you can grab a [easyazon_link identifier=”B0011E4WK8″ locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]stencil cutter [/easyazon_link]and [easyazon_link identifier=”B001K7Q6Z0″ locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]stencil blanks[/easyazon_link] and try to make your own stencil.

Use painter’s tape or [easyazon_link identifier=”B008FP2RBM” locale=”US” tag=”scrugcorne-20″]stencil adhesive[/easyazon_link] to hold the stencil to the canvas.

Then gently, with a thin layer of paint, use the pouncer to paint inside the stencil.  Remember that you can always add in layers of paint but you can’t take any away.

Gently, remove the stencil.  I like to let the paint dry for a few minutes before removing the stencil. Your reindeer burlap canvas wall art is done and yes–it was really that easy!

Let dry a couple of hours.
