I spend a lot of time behind the camera. I use my camera bag as an outdoor adventure bag and lug it around with me. My children are used to smiling at me as they play at the park or wander through the zoo. I do try to remember to take quick selfies on my phone. I want them to be able to see pictures of my smiling face right beside theirs one day.
I imagine many mothers participate in family time on the other side of the lens. Another benefit of being part of large family is that I am not the family photographer so there is rarely pressure. My cousin is the talented photographer behind DKeller Designs. She spends her time at family gatherings capturing our memories.
I’m a blogger and not a photographer. I forget to take pictures during the game because I am jumping up and down cheering.
And then my camera broke last week.
We went to the zoo without it and I felt like I was missing an appendage! My whole world felt upside down. Thankfully, it was repaired quickly. I have some outings planned and was dreading leaving my camera at home!
If you are looking for a camera bag, you can get a great price on AvidMax camera bags. Now remember to put the camera down and have fun too!

🙂 I am so glad it was fixed! I miss mine when it isn’t with me too. I dropped it last month and broke the lens. I felt like crying.

If I had dropped my 50mm I would have cried for sure and it is much cheaper than my 70-300mm. I was ready to cry over my camera and it was only an issue with it not taking any SD card.
