Last week we drove down to Orlando for a five day vacation. (Have you read http://scruggbugcorner.blogspot.com/2013/05/my-money-saving-disney-tips.html? I packed the same items for Legoland) The original plan was to spend the first day at Legoland and the second day at the Legoland Water park. We got there at about 10 a.m. and were amazed by the lego sculptures. The miniland was phenomenal. However, after a couple of hours my four year old was wilting in the heat. We live in Florida so are used to the heat and the humidity….however, we seemed to be baking in Legoland.
She is too short to ride most of the rides so I spent the majority of our time there pushing her around in the stroller while she cried, “My face is melting, Mommy! I want to go!”
However since my son is turning six in a couple of weeks, this was his “birthday trip” and he picked Legoland so we were staying. He literally bounced in joy when we got to the World of Chima water slide ride and ran to the entrance…only to find it was closed due to the proximity of a rain cloud. (It rains almost every day in the summer at some point in Florida.) So we hung out next door at the Raze-ors little racing area until they re-opened the ride. As soon as it opened, Wyatt and his Daddy got in line, while I took Piper for a slushy to keep her face from completely melting off.
