I didn’t make “resolutions” this year. I didn’t even come up with a “one word.” However, I am doing pretty good when it comes to the positive life changes and habits I am set on making a part of my life.

The massive decluttering process is still ongoing in our home.  There are years of accumulated stuff that we are going through. Getting rid of my squirreled away multiples of everything isn’t as painful as it was when we started.

Last night, after insisting that I already purged most of my unworn clothes from the closet (which was still jam packed), my husband took out all the empty hangers. There were so many hangers that it made the closet look like it would burst from the seams with clothing that wasn’t there anymore. I ended up getting rid of 6 garbage bags full of hangers and we still had a “decent” amount of extra hangers.

That was insane.

Those little victories are keeping me motivated. I joke about the “January people” who fill the gym and are gone by mid-February, but I’m a January person when it comes to decluttering. But this year, I am seeing how much less stressful it is to have my home organized. My OCD hubs is pretty happy about it.

Stay Motivated with Family Fun Friday

I’m one of those weirdos that love to work out so I think that everyone should love it too. I know. I’m weird. Don’t get me wrong, I can barely move from sitting to standing and vice versa without grimacing at the moment. However, the benefits of exercise far outweigh the negatives. Start of the new year right with these tips from 2 Dishing Divas.
Rachel Shewmaker does these 5 things every morning to keep her from losing her mind.  I do all of these things and it works! The only downside is that I always have laundry to fold. Always.
