Memories are built of little moments. These days can get crazy stressful for busy families. Scheduling in some time together can do so much to alleviate the stress. It can be a weekend getaway or longer trip but even quick activities that don’t take more than an hour can make a huge impact on the mood of the house. This week for Family Fun Friday, I picked six ideas that can help you insert a little rest and relaxation into your busy days.
The glow stick ideas from One Little Project are filled with crafts that don’t take much time and are fun! Spend a weekend evening oohing and ahhing with your little ones with a cool craft like this!
Letters in the sand collected the best bubble solutions. Again this doesn’t take much time but will have a lasting impact on your day. Kids LOVE bubbles.
Reading is often a solitary pleasure. However, family read alouds can bring the family together while still being educational and relaxing! Thank you to Year Round Homeschooling for sharing!
My big fat happy life shared a few things about what she learned on her family’s first camping trip in a camper. I can’t wait to try this with my family.
Need a longer break and planning on going to Europe? Kids are a trip has a guest post from Eileen Gunn of some of her favorite things to do in Munich. I am sure it will make you want to add Munich to your must visit list! (My husband is really pushing for a family trip to Germany!)
A Mother’s shadow writes about the lost art of the block party. I’ve been to parties that included the neighbors but I’ve never actually been to a “block party.” It looks like fun.
Onto the Family Fun Friday Link Party!

I love the idea of scheduling a little fun into our lives. I really like structure and feel like I’m a better wife, mother, worker when I schedule a little bit of silly time for all of us.
