I have always been fascinated by art and creativity. As a crafter, crocheter, knitter, painter, writer and photographer creating is kind of a thing in my life. It is also our word of the year.
This is also the time of year that crafting and customized greeting cards are in everyone’s radar.
Disclosure: I was offered a credit to review Minted’s site and products. As always all opinions expressed are 100% my own.
When I was contacted by Minted.com, I assumed that it was another “design your own photo cards” company. My initial thought was, “we don’t have any family photos for Christmas!”
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I visited the site and learned more about the company.
Minted holds “design challenges.” Independent artists submit their work, people vote, and the winning designs are sold on the website. Minted is a “marketplace of independent artists.”
The designs for the greeting cards are beautiful and affordable. I love the simple and elegant beauty of the designs. There are designs from numerous artists so there is something for every taste.
And though the photocards are gorgeous, I am not exactly a mail out Christmas cards kind of girl. (I know, scandalous!) It is difficult enough for me to get Christmas gifts mailed out to family members that live far away in time. I am going to make an exception this year because this year’s Holiday Card Collection is breathtaking.
But I do have to admit that I have my eye on several of the art prints, home decor, and fabric offerings!
As those of you who are regular readers know, the motivation behind my declutter and organization project, The Horrible Housewife series, is so that I can get started redecorating my house.
I hate shopping (well, except for Target and craft stores) and have been running into home goods and home stores looking for the perfect wall art. I haven’t found anything that I really like. The style has been off.
The designs at minted are exactly the simple yet beautiful look I am going for which has me EXCITED!!! I was looking for a Christmas card design and found art work and fabric that I love. SCORE.
Btw I love this design. It somes up my kids perfectly:

I usually design my own cards, but I love looking at other designs for inspiration. I actually already got ours because they came as part of a deal when we got our pictures taken for church.
