I eat a lot of hard-boiled eggs. It’s part of my healthy eating plan. I like egg “whites”–but pinks, blues, and greens not so much.
I get the icks when I think about eating eggs that have been hidden in piles of leaves. Then I get grossed out by eggs that have tinted whites because of the dye.
Maybe it’s just me but I think a lot of eggs are wasted on Easter.
I am ashamed to say that we have only dyed eggs two times the past six years. Last year, was the first time since Pork Chop was a toddler. It was the first time my kids were old enough to ask to dye them. Easter always sneaks up on me.
This easy Easter egg idea is for the busy mom…and the mom that doesn’t like colored egg whites. It’s for the mom who’s child has a ton of temporary tattoos left over from her birthday party.
All I used were hard boiled eggs, temporary tattoos, glitter glue, and a wet washcloth.
Easy pretty no dye Easter eggs
Materials:
Hard-boiled eggs
temporary tattoos
glitter glue
The important thing is to make sure the eggs are VERY DRY before applying the tattoo.
Peel the plastic coating off, place the tattoo face down on the egg, press a wet washcloth to the paper backing of the tattoo for about 30 seconds (or until you get impatient like me), and then gently peel off the paper.
Smear some glitter glue on top and you are done. Really, it doesn’t get any easier than that folks!

What a very wonderful idea for tattooing eggs. It is really wonderful too using it for Easter. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Adelien. I also enjoyed eating hard boiled eggs that weren’t pink or green 🙂

These are really nice. They look like they took a lot of work but are easy enough where kids can kind of work on their own too! Thank you for sharing your Easter craft with us at The MaMade Blog Hop

They took no work at all! My kids love putting tattoos on. It takes a little bit more gentleness when pulling of the paper backing from an egg rather than an arm but it is still simple.

Cute and definitely easier! We’ve always had those plastic eggs, this would make a great change. 🙂

I use the plastic eggs for the forty eggs I have to bring to their schools lol. I was surprised how much fun these were for the kids. My son wants us to buy some boys tattoos for his eggs
