A house divided and a truly high-value giveaway.

There are few things that I consider more valuable than a cash prize. When Pork Chop and Pea were babies and toddlers I would have definitely found a year supply of diapers, wipes, nursing pads, or milk supply bags more valuable than gold.

As a Charmin brand ambassador, I clearly prefer quality and comfort. And I am raising children that also like the finer things in life–at least in the bathroom.

Since the stomach bug incident, we’ve stuck to Charmin Ultra Soft. It was a lifesaver when the kids were constantly in the bathroom while the virus ran its course.

There was that one time when we ran out of toilet paper and I found an old unfinished off brand pack underneath the sink. I set that out while I ran out to the grocery store. When I got home, my husband laughingly told me that while I was gone my son was in the restroom and started yelling “Daddy, can you look around for soft toilet paper?”

My son made me promise that I would only buy Charmin from now on. He’s not normally my picky child so he must mean business.

But to be honest, I prefer the Charmin Ultra Strong. I find the Ultra Soft a little too soft sometimes.  So I decided to switch it and see what happened. After a few days I noted that there were no requests for “the good toilet paper.” Maybe they hadn’t noticed? I asked the family what they thought.

I prefer the Ultra Strong (“the red one”)

Pork Chop likes the Ultra Soft (“the blue one”)

Pea didn’t notice a difference.

Hubs doesn’t care– as long as it’s Charmin.

So…since the sight of Pork Chop curled into a ball, weak from the stomach flu, is still fresh in my mind a year later–I can suck it up and “suffer” through the soft toilet paper or I can stock my bathroom with the red pack.
