I have a major sweet tooth. It is what often derails my weight loss efforts! I am that girl that can’t resist the midnight bowl of ice cream.
So I had to stop buying ice cream!
You may think that sharing my easy popsicle recipes is strange during the winter but I am willing to bet that ice cream sales don’t go down all that much during the holiday season. My ice cream cravings don’t go away in the winter!
This recipe is easy to make. Avocado is a super food that helps you feel satiated and has tons of health benefits.
Easy Popsicle Recipe: Creamy Avocado
There are just three ingredients.
- Ripe Avocado
- 1/2 c almond milk (you can also use soymilk, coconut milk, or regular cow’s milk)
- 1 TBL honey or sweetener of choice
My favorite version of this popsicle is made with whole milk and sugar. However ,when I spend so much time in the gym, sugar and fat make me drag. I notice a huge difference in my lifting after a “cheat.”
I mix it in a measuring cup so I can easily pour it into the popsicle molds.
Simply cut the avocado in half. Scoop out the meat into the measuring cup. Use a fork to smash it up. Stir in a half cup of the milk of your choice. Add a tablespoon of honey or sweetener of your choice to taste.
The avocado chunky mixture doesn’t look appetizing but it is delicious!
I won’t lie. My kids won’t touch it. That just leaves more for me!
Freeze it overnight or for a couple of hours. It doesn’t look quite as green when it is frozen.
Avocado is definitely one of my favorite foods. This popsicle is based on the “Avocado Ice Cream” my mom used to make when I was a kid. Like this cantaloupe popsicle recipe, it’s my version of a Filipino favorite.

I love avocado! My husband make me chunky avocado with milk and sugar for snack and this sounds just like it, but the frozen edition. I don’t have any avocados on hand at the moment, but do have ice cream… 😉
