Quotes about being strong

Throughout life we encounter situations that show us how strong we really are.  The following is a collection of posts based on quotes about being strong.  They detail some of the experiences I faced with my pregnancy loss and the ups and downs associated with my daughter’s Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Through all the bad times I focused on the cliche: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

After every storm, the water settles and peace returns.

Quotes about being strong

Shortly after my miscarriage in October of 2013, I remember overhearing one of my team members tell a co-worker that “she will be okay.  She is a strong woman.”  At that time, I felt anything but strong.  I felt like curling up in a ball and crying, which I did throughout the day in my car during work.

I was devastated by the loss of the baby.

I was suffering through it without my husband, who was overseas at the time.

I felt like I had let down the 200+ coworkers that knew I was pregnant.

Each time I had to  tell someone that I miscarried, it was a stab to my heart–yet I still hated seeing that awkward look of concern and embarrassment on the faces of my friends after I told them.  I felt guilty for making them feel uncomfortable.

The main reason I started writing this blog was to connect with other women who are going through the same types difficulties.  Miscarriage is a lonely road and if even one woman lands on my blog and realizes she is not alone, then all the effort has been worth it.

The following is a collection of pieces centered around quotes.

Dear Mom who recently miscarried

Nothing has Changed

The Long Journey Back Home

Simple Faith

And then there are the times that I think about the inner strength it takes to care for a child with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and the strength she displays every day.  These articles are based on quotes or songs that highlight the struggle we have with Juvenile Arthritis.

My bullet proof baby

Operation Perspective

Just a Mistake

Don’t be that girl, little one

Quotes have always helped me navigate through difficult times.  I tend to be inspired and calmed by quotes that I can apply to my current situation.  Strength is displayed in many ways.  It takes strength to push on when times are difficult.

It is also when I am working through tough times that I am inspired to write so it is no surprise that I have so many pieces focused on quotes about being strong.

    I am Touched !!!!!

Once we move forward during a line towards our dreams, some people expect another plan from destiny: to open a trap under our feet and, “Now you would like to urge into this, your Dreams are on hold “.

Nobody ever explained to us what a thing called adversity is. In fact, it just shows itself as an educator .
