You know those parents that sign their kids up for all the extracurriculars? Yeah–I’m not one of them. I let my kids choose one activity. They both chose soccer. Why then am I always running them to practice? I am glad it’s only one activity!
This first week of school and soccer has been crazy.
We rarely eat out so the hours at the soccer field make for some interesting meal timing on my part. We don’t get home from the field until 8:00pm which is 30 minutes before my kids are supposed to be in bed.
Do you struggle with meals during busy times? I posed a question in my Facebook community about late practices and got varying answers. Hop over and weigh in!
I currently prepare dinner so that it is ready by 4:30pm. The kids can eat and have time to digest the food before we leave for practice.
So I am continuing to look for easy meals for sports nights.
I hope you find the quick meals for busy families helpful.
For those of you who are new to Family Fun Friday, let me explain. Each week my friends, Monica, Adelien and I throw this link party. What that means is that we invite other bloggers to our blogs to share their best family friendly posts.
These are some of the best and undiscovered recipes, crafts, homeschooling resources, and parenting articles from around the web. We then pick our favorites and feature them during the next week’s link party. Take a look around and visit some of our awesome blogging friends.
My sports night meal plan selections:
Pasta Salad from Clean and Scentscible
Easy Breakfast Burritos from Inspiration for Moms
Roasted Vegetable Chicken Pasta Salad from the Kittchen
Slow Cooker Cauliflower Mac and Cheese from Dizzy, Bizzy, and Hungry
Sandwich Kabobs from My Big Fat Happy Life
Summer Squash Zoodles with Chicken Alfredo Sausage from Raia’s Recipes
