Cozy Home Crafts for Fall

We were at the craft store looking for Thanksgiving cookie cutters and couldn’t find them anywhere! I asked a store associate where I might find them and she told us that all the Thanksgiving stuff was gone. They only have Christmas items out.

Pork Chop stared at her and said, “Thanksgiving hasn’t even passed yet. Why is everything Christmas already???”

You know–He has a point.

I was planning to start posting Christmas crafts this week but am going to hold off. Yes, we like to get started on the Christmas crafts because they are fun but Thanksgiving hasn’t passed. We do still have some fun stuff to share!

With temperatures still in the upper 80’s and 90’s here in Florida, it’s difficult to adjust from the Fall themed season aisles in stores to the Christmas spectacles. The low has been in the 60’s the last few mornings so we know the cooler temps are on the way.

It’s sad that we don’t get much of an Autumn here because the colors are so cozy.  Whether the retail world agrees with us or not, we’d like to continue to enjoy fall so this week we picked some cozy crafts for the home!

A Life in Balance 9 Must Make Crafts for the Home. I have to agree with Barb on these crafts. They are must make crafts for the home.

A Place for You and Me’s  DIY Pinecone and Acorn Wreath is beautiful. Everyday acorns bombard my truck when it’s parked at the school. This would be a good craft to make with them.

Seasoned Homemaker  made this Chalk Paint Leaf Tutorial. I love the look of the painted leaves.

PK1Homeschool Fun shared a  DIY Light Table for Tracing . As a person who struggles to draw anything that is supposed to resemble something else, tracing is one of the ways I get by! This tutorial might be for children but I know one adult that will be using it.

Raia’s Recipe‘s Peanut Butter Vanilla Protein Truffles with Chocolate Ganache is not a cozy craft but I picked it because it’s right up my alley! I can’t wait to make these protein truffles.
