My children are art fanatics. They have the artistic ability from the Hubs and also inherited my addiction to crafts. That being said, kids art organization is something that I always think about. I’ve written about how we organize and hide most of their art supplies.
Not all of their art gets shoved into space bags neatly preserved in an air tight environment, some of it is just too interesting to put into storage. I am constantly amazed at how well these two can draw and put their ideas onto paper. I also love the idea of displaying their masterpieces so that we can enjoy them every day.
I spent a little bit of time (okay, a few months) on Pinterest scoping out ideas. I even shopped around online. I came up with my butterfly art wall display after seeing a similar, and over-priced, version on pottery barn kids.
It was really cheap and easy to make.
How to make a PBK knock off Butterfly Art Display
I am including amazon affiliate links to make it convenient for you to find the items.
Picture Hanging Kit
2 butterfly ornaments like these Pink Butterfly Clip (6pcs Set-4″) though I got mine from Michaels.
Little scrapbook clothespins in pastels mini clothespins
Instead of using the picture hanging kit on a frame, I installed it on the wall itself.
I stretched the wire across from nail to nail.
The butterflies were actually ornaments so I wrapped the ribbon around the frame hook thingey to hide it and attach the butterfly.
We chose the art and clipped them on with the itty bitty mini clips.
It is easy to rotate the art work and it is a great way to decorate my daughter’s corner of their shared room! The color scheme goes very well with her Princess Hair Tie Holder.

This is amazing! You just want to keep everything they make but storing it or displaying it all can get a little crazy lol.

That’s adorable! I’m bad about not displaying my kids’ artwork . I just don’t have a good wall space to put it on.
