In July, I had a mindset shift when it came to adding affiliate links to my popular posts. Instead of focusing on the content of my post, I turned my attention to my readers.

• What other things might this reader need or want?

Throughout the month I added a few links to posts and emails (if allowed by the affiliate network’s terms of service) as time permitted. Before long, I noticed a substantial increase in my affiliate income.

Most of my earnings come from this post and the subscribers that opt in to my Disney Cruise email list.

I went from $0 earned on Shareasale from January of 2017 to July to nearly $200 this month alone.
