I have tried every sweetener on the market for years. Truvia is the best. It is sweet and much less bitter than other brands. It is also safer (in my opinion) than nutrasweet because it is all natural not a strange chemical. I would not use any other product.

Of all artificial sweeteners on the market I definitely like Truvia best. I does not have the nasty aftertaste that so many other sweeteners have, and it does taste like sugar. Still...it is not exactly like sugar.

Please note tho, that Truvia is not a full-fledged Stevia product. While it does contain Stevia extract, the main ingredient is Erythritol (not Xylitol!), a sugar alcohol that is only digested for about 10%. Blended with the Stevia it has a sweetness equal to ordinary sugar. (Pure Stevia extract is about 300 times sweeter then sugar).

Truvia can not be used like sugar in baked products (there is a special product for that: Truvia Baking Blend Natural Sweetener (Pack Of 2) )

I mostly use it in coffee, tea and chocolate as a substitute for sugar. As such it saves me a lot of calories, costing none of the taste.

Unfortunately the Amazon price is a rather high compared to a normal supermarket price.

On a side note: When empty, the label can easily be removed leaving a nicely reusable clear plastic jar.

I have been using Truvia packets for some time. Then my husband started using them to lower his sugar intake and I found myself refilling my packet tray way too often. I found this bulk Truvia and it is a game changer. The flavor is very close to sugar and doesn't have the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners. It's a bit pricey but the convenience is worth it. I can also buy the bulk bag of Truvia and refill 2 of the containers I received. I will save the packets for company.

This is a sweetener I can use daily without the headaches I would get with artificial sweeteners (aspartame, etc.). It works well with coffee, tea, and other hot or cold drinks, as well as in foods such as cereal, oatmeal, etc.

The smell of it brings me back to my childhood as it has the semblance of Nestles Quik. The flavor does not change the taste of the food or drink being incorporated with though.

I highly recommend Truvia as a truly natural alternative to sugar.

We loved this product in beverages, sauces and cereals. It was not a good substitute for sugar when baking. You could taste the difference and my family didn't like it in cakes or cookies. We did like it in our yogurt smoothies and sprinkled on top of fruit like strawberries or pears. It's good for more than it's not good for!

Much better than Splenda

Last year we cut out most of our sugar switching to Splenda. I had been hearing things about the acetaminophen in Splenda and was looking for another alternative when a friend enlightened us to Truvia. It is MUCH sweeter than Sugar or Splenda, but bakes better than splenda when mixed with sugar. The overall taste is better and the texture is a crystal similar to a sugar crystal. It is actually cheaper to buy at Wal-Mart though.
